Jennifer Loflin is a lifelong public servant with nearly two decades of experience working in the criminal justice system and a deep commitment to fairness, accountability, and service to the community.
Jennifer Loflin has dedicated her legal career to public service and to ensuring that justice is administered fairly, thoughtfully, and in accordance with the law. Her commitment to service began with her first legal position in Riverside County, where she led the Riverside County Bar Association’s Legal Aid program, known as the Public Service Law Corporation, providing critical legal assistance to individuals and families who could not afford to hire an attorney.
In that role, Loflin also helped establish a federal and bankruptcy court clinic for people who could not afford legal representation. The clinic continues to operate today and has expanded, providing ongoing assistance to unrepresented litigants navigating complex court proceedings and improving access to justice in the community.
Over the course of more than two decades, Loflin has practiced law in Riverside County as both a former prosecutor and a longtime defense attorney, handling thousands of criminal cases from filing through trial and resolution. As a prosecutor, she worked to protect public safety and hold offenders accountable. As a defense attorney, she has been a steadfast advocate for constitutional rights, ensuring that every person who comes before the court is treated with dignity and respect.
Since October 2023, Loflin has served as a Judge Pro Tem for Riverside County, presiding over matters with fairness, preparation, and impartiality. In that role, she applies the law as written, evaluates each case on its merits, and makes decisions grounded in legal principle and sound judgment.
Throughout her career, Loflin has earned a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and even-handed decision-making. She understands that accountability is essential when crimes are committed and that incarceration is sometimes necessary to protect the community. At the same time, she remains deeply committed to safeguarding constitutional rights and ensuring that victims and litigants alike are treated with respect.
Loflin is seeking election to the bench because service to the community has been the foundation of her professional life. She is committed to bringing experience, balance, and fairness to the court—guided by the principle of Service Before Self, Justice for All.
Why I Serve
Judicial service is an honor that carries enormous responsibility. I am seeking the bench because I believe the courtroom must be a place of fairness, accountability, and respect for every person who enters it.
Having spent my career serving the public and working in our courts, I understand the real-world impact judicial decisions have on individuals, families, and the community. My commitment is simple: to serve with integrity, apply the law faithfully, and ensure justice is administered fairly and responsibly.
